Dear Chase,

Hi little buddy. I'm so happy to officially begin writing to you. Since we welcomed you into the world just four months ago you have brought so much happiness into our lives. Such a happy little guy... melting my heart throughout each day by flashing that sweet little smile of yours. Just like your Daddy.

You have such a laid back personality and love to just hang out with us. The moments in which you cry are for good reason and can be easily remedied by a diaper change, feeding or just a little snuggle time. You are definitely my little cuddle bug. At least once a day, I find myself drifting off with you in my arms on one side and Tatum on the other. It's in those moments that I realize that I need nothing more in my life and I'm sure that I am the luckiest person walking this earth.

Not sure what to expect and how I would feel the second time around, I can now say I didn't see this coming. I wasn't sure if it were possible to love another child like I love your sister and I was wrong. I love you both so much. I recently sought out a locket so that I will always have the two of you with me at all times. While I was searching for the perfect one, I came across one with a French inscription which read, 'Plus que ma propre vie.' Translation: 'More than my own life.' It definitely sums up how I feel about both of you and it has stuck with me ever since.

This blog is dedicated to you and will be where your growth, milestones and experiences are documented until your first birthday. I plan to follow up this week with a letter explaining our start together and the challenges you faced in your first week.

Thank you for being such a strong little guy. You amaze us each day and already make our world a better place to be.
